If there was a very touristy thing we did in Italy, it was visiting Pisa and getting a glimpse (yes, only a glimpse!) of its famous leaning bell tower. We didn't have time to explore the city.
We got off the overnight train from Paris, ate breakfast, rushed to get to the town center, took the obligatory crazy shots, and literally ran the streets to catch the bus bound to the termini (which was a few minutes late, btw). Good thing we had ample time to grab a snack and buy a few souvenirs before we jumped on the train that took us to Rome.

Trivia: If you expect to see only one leaning building in the Piazza dei Marcoli, you will be surprised to see that the Cathedral and the Baptistery are not standing straight either. And they are not the only buildings in town. There are several leaning building and bell towers in Pisa because of the unsteady ground rich in water.

Oh, that is my dream to visit that place.
ReplyDeleteI hope your dream comes true. Happy exploring!
DeleteInteresting yung trivia. hehe medyo scary pala sitwasyon mga buildings dun. :)
ReplyDeleteYup. Venice naman is slowly sinking. Kaya dapat i-explore na agad!
