Experience a fun, amazing walk through a kaleidoscope of colors.
The Pahiyas Festival is celebrated in honor of San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of farmers, every 15th of May. Each year, the people of Lucban and nearby towns of Quezon decorate their houses with colorful arangyas (chandeliers) of kiping (rice wafers), fruits, vegetables, and handicraft. It is believed that by adorning their homes with agricultural produce they are assured of another bountiful harvest the following year.
This festivity draws a lot of tourists annually. It's better to come early in the morning as the crowd gets thicker as the day progresses.
Don't leave the place without having a taste of Lucban's specialties (pancit habhab, longganisa)!
